Quick and EZ recipes

I thought that when I became a SAHM, that I’d have lots and lots of time to try out dishes - you know the kind that you watch on the telly and you think it’d be fun to try. Just that it may require you to buy new equipment and probably get ingredients which you don’t already have available in your pantry or the refrigerator or the kind that requires you to come back to the food a few hours later..or even better - the kind that requires OVERNIGHT refrigeration. Well, the reality is that I found that I seemed to have even lesser time to cook because I had to shuttle the kids to and from school and then to and from activities and then to have some time set aside so that I can work with them on their school work or help them with this or that. And so….the point is: I had NO time to dwell on cooking! And I found myself looking for nutritious but yummy recipes which I could cook in a jiffy. Sounds like a tall order but I think I managed alright. So here’s to sharing these recipes…And I hope you’ll give me your feedback if you tried them.

The recipes are typically Asian for the most part. But I’ve made changes to them to suit my taste as well as what I can find in my pantry and refrigerator. Also, where possible and relevant, I’ve included references from which I have taken these recipes from.

  1. ahhhh…..i feel the same way too…at the moment am a SAHM as well, i have this fantasy of baking cookies from scratch, and making delicious meals, but realise that mana ada masa! I’m forever running around like a headless chicken, doing errands, taking Amyrah to ryhme time sessions at the local libraries, meeting other SAHM in the parks..etc etc…Keep the recipes coming in, especially if they’re meat free!

  2. Ok…I’ll try to put up some meat free recipes. Probably the veg dishes. We normally have one meat/fish dish.
